Traveller with mask

Canadian travel insurer TuGo has made further enhancements to its Traveller product to address Covid-19-specific concerns

Effective from 30 November, TuGo has taken further steps beyond covering Covid-19 for vaccinated and unvaccinated Canadian travellers under a Level 3 (‘avoid non-essential travel’) advisory, to also covering them under a Level 4 (‘avoid all travel’) advisory – subject to vaccination requirements outlined in the policy.

TuGo will also provide coverage for Canadians who must cancel or interrupt their trip because of a medical condition related to Covid-19. TuGo’s Cancel For Any Reason feature has also been updated to ensure increased flexibility, allowing customers who purchase this add-on feature to cancel up to five days (previously 10 days) before departure for any reason, and receive 50 per cent of their pre-paid, unused non-refundable travel costs.

Brad Dance, Chief Customer Officer, said: “TuGo has continued to listen to our customers and evolve our product offering to support them through their pandemic travels.”
