Tripadvisor adds real-time travel risk intelligence through Riskline partnership
The collaboration brings destination risk information directly to travellers, reflecting growing demand for real-time safety insights before and during trips
Tripadvisor will begin providing travellers with real-time destination risk information through a new partnership with travel risk intelligence provider Riskline, as digital travel platforms increasingly integrate safety data alongside traditional trip planning tools.
The collaboration will see Tripadvisor incorporate Riskline’s travel intelligence into its platform, providing users with up-to-date information on potential disruptions and safety issues across more than 220 countries and territories and over 260 cities.
The advisories cover a range of risks, including health and medical issues, natural hazards, civil unrest, conflict, and general travel safety.
According to a 2026 Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) poll cited by Riskline, 56% of travel buyers identified traveller safety as a leading priority this year, as health risks, environmental events, and geopolitical developments continue to influence travel decisions alongside more traditional concerns such as delays and cancellations.
The partnership highlights the growing role of preventative risk intelligence in helping travellers make informed decisions before departure.
By embedding real-time safety information into one of the world’s largest travel guidance platforms, travellers may be better equipped to avoid high-risk destinations or adjust itineraries before disruption occurs, potentially reducing the need for reactive assistance.
Riskline said its intelligence combined analyst expertise, artificial intelligence (AI), and open-source intelligence to provide continuously updated travel advisories throughout the customer journey.
