Travelex upgrades travel protections
Travelex Insurance Services, a subsidiary of Zurich, has launched a new line of travel protections with an enhanced cancel for any reason (CFAR) upgrade
The new CFAR upgrade now covers up to 75 per cent of trip costs if travellers have to cancel their trip.
Travelex’s Travel Select Plan also provides new Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption coverage options, including for adoption, attending childbirth, cancel for business reasons, organ donor, theft of travel documents and school extension.
The insurer has also adjusted the pricing of its protection plans to be more competitive, incorporating age-band pricing to base rates on each traveller’s individual risk level.
Travelex’s previous travel protection plans were officially retired on 31 May.
“We really took some time and put a lot of thought into these products as we've designed them,” said Shannon Lofdahl, President and CEO at Travelex. “The resulting plans offer enhanced benefits, coverages and age-band pricing.”
