The new addition will apply to all live policies in a move that Staysure believes could kick-start the UK’s travel industry.

The policy for Covid-19 comes at no extra cost to existing or new policyholders and will ensure that Brits travelling overseas are covered for emergency medical and repatriation expenses if infected with the virus. The cover will only apply to trips taken to countries that the British government has said are safe to visit.
