Travel Guard Singapore completes underwriting transition to Zurich
The transition is part of an ongoing alignment of the brand with Zurich’s wider business operations
The Singaporean business of travel insurance brand Travel Guard has completed its underwriting transition to Zurich Insurance Group.
The changeover follows Zurich’s acquisition of Travel Guard, alongside the rest of former owner AIG’s personal travel business lines, in December 2024.
As part of the transition, a new website, called Travel Guard Direct, has been launched in Singapore to provide access to the new insurance plans.
The refreshed product range includes coverage of up to S$2 million (US$1.56 million) in overseas medical coverage, and unlimited emergency evacuation on higher-tier plans.
Existing customers who purchased policies prior to the transition will retain their original policy conditions, while gaining access to Zurich Cover-More’s global network and emergency assistance command centres.
Open Insurance Services and IAG Loyalty recently co-launched a new travel insurance brand – Avios Insurance.
