Tokio Marine deploys digital FNOL platform for travel claims
Digital FNOL is gaining ground in travel insurance, with Tokio Marine’s latest deployment underscoring the shift towards faster, more scalable claims handling
Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance (TMNF) has deployed a digital claims solution from EIS as part of a new overseas travel insurance offering.
The move signals continued momentum behind artificial intelligence (AI)-driven claims transformation, as carriers look to balance operational efficiency with scalable, customer-centric claims handling.
The ClaimPulse platform enables policyholders to initiate a first notice of loss (FNOL) through a digital interface, submitting supporting documentation via a self-service, omnichannel journey. The approach is designed to streamline claims intake while capturing structured data at the point of submission.
By automating early-stage claims processes, the insurer aims to improve operational efficiency and maintain consistent service levels during periods of elevated claims volumes. This, in turn, allows customer service teams to focus on more complex cases, rather than routine intake and data gathering.
The deployment reflects a broader shift across the insurance sector towards digital-first claims handling, with carriers increasingly investing in platforms that can support scalability while enhancing customer experience.
Mike Dwyer, Chief Technology Officer at EIS, said: “ClaimPulse is designed to optimise the claims experience from the very first interaction while providing insurers with structured, actionable data from the outset.”
He continued: “By enabling digital FNOL for overseas travel insurance, TMNF is improving convenience for customers and creating a more scalable, resilient way to handle fluctuations in claim volumes, without compromising service quality.”
