Thailand to reduce visa waiver duration
The government of Thailand is looking to reduce the number of visa-free days that foreign tourists can stay in the country to 30
The planned change, reported by Bloomberg, is in response to concerns about a growing number of travellers exploiting the waiver to engage in illegal business.
Since mid-2024, Thailand has allowed passport holders from 93 countries to enter the country for a period of up to 60 days under a visa waiver scheme.
Authorities stated that there would be further discussion before the regulation change was officially announced.
