Spectrum.Life partners with Trinity’s School of Psychology, Ireland
The partnership will fund four trainee places annually on Trinity College Dublin’s Counselling Psychology doctoral programme, boosting training capacity by 40%
Digital health provider Spectrum.Life has announced a partnership with the School of Psychology, Trinity College Dublin, supporting its doctoral programme in Counselling Psychology.
Through this initiative, Spectrum.Life is funding four trainee places on the doctoral programme. The support will last for three years and includes placements within the organisation. Spectrum.Life will fund up to 12 places in total, adding four sponsored trainees each year. This funding increases the College’s training capacity by 40%, helping to accelerate the development of mental health professionals.
Dr Emelina Ellis, Chief Clinical Officer at Spectrum.Life, commented: “Ireland’s mental health crisis won’t wait, so neither can we. The shortage of psychologists is leaving too many without support, but action now will change that. By increasing the number of trainee counselling psychologists in Trinity College Dublin by 40%, we are building the workforce needed to meet rising demand, ensuring that no one is left behind.”
Trainees joining Spectrum.Life will have the opportunity to gain a broad range of clinical experience in areas such as neurodiversity, digital therapies for adults, and employment support over the coming years. This training programme is designed to help them respond to the changing needs of individuals and organisations in mental health. It also supports Spectrum.Life’s goal of improving access to mental health care and fostering innovation in the field.
