Roanoke Travel Insurance, a subsidiary of Munich Re Specialty Group North America, has partnered with the travel insurance startup battleface to launch product sales in the US
According to a company press release, battleface offers travel insurance products and assistance to modern travellers who don’t fit the outdated travel insurance industry standard of ‘one size fits all’. Its API-driven platform is supported by an network of 24/7 assistance coordinators, medical providers and on-the-ground field agents who provide emergency claims, medical and travel assistance services globally.
Sasha Gainullin, CEO of battleface, commented: “[We are] proud to offer products that meet the needs of US travellers who face challenging situations in equally challenging destinations. With battleface, our customers can rely on the fact that their travel insurance is as tough as they are.”
This partnership enables battleface to offer its products and services to US residents in the underserved but growing market of adventure travel. The company says it will provide ‘a valuable partnership’ to specialty travel agencies, operators and advisors offering custom-built products for explorers, adventurers and more.
“Battleface has the technology, expertise and infrastructure in place for when the world reopens its doors,” said Roanoke Travel Insurance Division Vice President Lisa Conway. “Adding in Roanoke’s travel insurance capabilities for US customers, this is a fantastic opportunity and we are excited to be working with them.”
