Riskline partners with Travlr ID and TripIt
The travel risk assessment and intelligence firm has partnered with Travlr ID and TripIt to offer guidance to travellers
Travel intelligence company Riskline has announced a partnership with decentralised identity and profile network Travlr ID.
The partners will offer timely, location-specific “real-time risk intelligence” to travellers via Travlr ID’s blockchain-based platform.
The collaboration will be rolled out in phases, beginning with the implementation of “integrated risk and emergency communication tools”. The two companies will then add a range of “risk management plans and decentralised document storage” to the platform.
The partnership will also ultimately allow for the option to subscribe to “custom travel and insurance plans derived from individual risk profiles as well as destinations”.
“In today’s world, where travel risks are increasingly dynamic and complex, our collaboration signifies a critical step towards proactive risk management,” said Kennet Nordlien, CEO of Riskline.
He added that Travlr ID’s use of blockchain will help to make sure Riskline’s intelligence “finds its way to travellers in a secure and speedy manner”.
Riskline to provide alerts to TripIt customers
Riskline also announced a new partnership with TripIt, a trip planner and flight tracker, to offer risk alerts via its platform.
Alerts will cover a range of incidents that affect airports and airlines, including weather events; political unrest, strikes, and protests; communication and technology outages; and airport incidents such as emergency closures and runway maintenance.
TripIt also hopes to expand this offering to include incident monitoring of other parts of travellers’ itineraries, including restaurant reservations and meetings.
“TripIt will now be able to help travellers stay informed about relevant disruptions and empower them with the most up-to-date information during their trip,” said Suzanne Sangiovese, Director of Travel and Technology at Riskline.
AXA recently announced a partnership with Amazon Web Services to co-develop its own global risk management and prevention platform.
