P&O Cruises has scrapped its Covid-19 vaccination and testing requirements
The cruise line still recommends that passengers are up to date with their vaccines
British cruise line P&O Cruises has announced that Covid-19 vaccination and testing are no longer mandatory for guests travelling on their holidays.
The only exception is cruise J301 – Arcadia's World Cruise, Classic Southern Hemisphere Journeys or Exotic fly-cruises – which still require passengers to be fully vaccinated, including a booster jab, and a pre-departure Covid test.
Although vaccination is no longer required in the majority of cases, P&O Cruises ‘still highly recommend that all guests travelling on our ships are up-to-date with Covid-19 vaccinations and boosters when eligible and where available’.
The cruise line also highly recommends that if a traveller is displaying any Covid-19 symptoms or feels unwell in the days leading up to their trip that they should take a Covid-19 test and only travel to the ship if it is negative. It stated on its website: “If you’re symptomatic on the day of embarkation, we ask that you declare this to terminal or check-in staff.”
