Embedded insurance specialist Pattern Insurance has partnered with Greek cruise line Variety Cruises to offer a range of travel insurance products via their website

The products, which will include cancellation for any reason, baggage protection and weather protection policies, will be embedded on Variety Cruises’ website and offered as part of the customer journey.

Pattern’s platform reportedly incorporates artificial intelligence, machine learning and parametric technologies, which it says enable it to provide personalised and efficient insurance offerings while remaining compliant with the Insurance Distribution Directive and the General Data Protection Regulation.

Filippos Venetopoulos, CEO of Variety Cruises said: “Working with Pattern, we have elevated the insurance experience for our cruise customer, making the offering hassle free, personalised and relevant.”

“Pattern’s solution aligns with Variety’s goal of providing the very best customer cruise experience,” added Noam Shapira, co-founder of Pattern Insurance. “Our platform enables them to offer real-time, relevant, personalised insurance for their customers. They can respond immediately to new trends and challenges as their itineraries evolve. Embedding insurance creates a new source of income for Variety Cruises while reassuring their end travellers.”

Pattern Insurance has announced partnerships with a number of countries in recent months, including with student insurance broker Endsleigh in January 2022, and with specialist travel insurance provider battleface in February of the same year.
