The deal allows UK-based travel agents to introduce travel insurance policies from Pattern during the booking process.
Following an indication of interest, travel agents can trigger a process to provide relevant opt-in coverage via the Amadeus platform. Pattern policies will now be available via this process.
“For a long time, selling insurance as a ‘brick and mortar’ or a phone-based travel agency was very hard,” said Noam Shapira, President and Co-Founder of Pattern. “Now, thanks to the Amadeus platform, travel agents can more easily introduce insurance to their customers. This is done in alignment with the very strong regulatory demands in the UK.”
Pattern Insurance also recently entered a partnership with US holiday booking platform BookOutdoors to offer travel and weather insurance to its customers.
