Pattern, Endsleigh launch winter sports coverage

The policy covers a range of activities, ‘whether snowboarding, skiing, or simply enjoying the apres-ski’
Pattern Insurance has created a personalised winter sports protection for students in partnership with Endsleigh Insurance, to be offered via its digital platform. The policy includes protection against equipment damage and refunds for unused ski passes in the event of illness or injury.
A recent survey by OnePoll found that 57 per cent of adults would rather book activity-filled breaks than traditional beach holidays, proving that such a policy was ‘extremely timely’.
“If you’re a student who has paid a lot of money for a ski holiday this winter, the last thing you want is anything ruining that trip and throwing that money away, whether it’s a last-minute cancellation due to an injury or damage to your equipment when you arrive,” said Alison Meckiffe, Chief Executive of Endsleigh.
Meitav Harpaz, CEO and co-founder of Pattern Insurance, added: “The new Winter Sports protection we’ve developed with Endsleigh is a great example of how we work with partners who have a unique audience to develop tailored products. This is the second product we are rolling out with Endsleigh, and … we anticipate this new product from Endsleigh will be very popular with students looking for a winter getaway this year.”
Endsleigh and Pattern’s ongoing partnership is expected to continue, with the insurer intending to ‘design and roll out … protections to address students’ needs for holidays and breaks throughout the year’.
