The product will be Urban Jungle’s first entry into the travel insurance market

Travel insurance provider P J Hayman has announced that it will launch a new travel insurance product in partnership with fellow insurer Urban Jungle.

The product will be overseen by a new joint venture, called Urban Jungle Travel Insurance. It will leverage Urban Jungle’s online platforms, as well as P J Hayman’s travel insurance expertise and network of underwriters.

The venture is Urban Jungle’s first foray into travel insurance – until now, the company mainly specialised in home insurance.

“We are delighted to be working with Urban Jungle on this project alongside the insurance capacity provided by international accident and health underwriters Canopius,” said Peter Hayman, Founder of P J Hayman.

Jimmy Williams, CEO and Co-Founder of Urban Jungle, added: “At Urban Jungle we’ve always had the goal of helping customers get fairer cover across a range of insurance products, so it’s fantastic to be launching travel insurance alongside P J Hayman. Just like our flagship home insurance products, our travel insurance is designed to be simple, clear and fair, and customers can get insured in minutes.”

Zurich Insurance Group recently acquired AIG’s global personal travel insurance and assistance business.
