One-stop resource for travel insurance industry
The US Travel Insurance Association (UStiA) has developed a new resource to provide travellers with current information on Covid-related travel insurance requirements
UStiA is providing a list of related travel insurance requirements, current as of its date of publication, as a resource for the industry, the public, and for travel advisors to use as a reference when booking travel for their clients.
Popular destinations and travel methods like cruises, select airlines, and resorts are increasingly requiring visitors to have one or more of the following:
- proof of being vaccinated against Covid-19
- recent test results showing no Covid-19 infection
- travel insurance coverage that will pay for quarantines, medical treatment, and other expenses that might be incurred as a result of an illness, injury, or other unexpected event during travel
There’s a lot for travel insurers and assistance providers to navigate post Covid-19. In May, ITIJ considered how the industry can best handle the situation.
