Oman digitises health insurance TPA channels
The country’s regulator has launched an electronic system for licensing health insurance third-party administrators (TPAs)
As part of its goal to fast-track digital transformation, Oman’s Capital Market Authority (CMA) has launched an electronic system for licensing health insurance TPAs. The latest move will create time-saving channels participants, who will be able to apply for registration and renewal of licenses electronically.
Currently, the CMA has 40 electronic services for various sectors, and this latest one for the health insurance market will no doubt help increase the uptake of health insurance products in Oman.
The move to digital will no doubt be beneficial to the Middle East, where consumers increasingly turn to digital channels for purchasing the likes of travel insurance, for example.
