New senior leadership for Healix as business continues growth
Healix has announced new senior hires as the healthcare and risk management services company continues to expand its team and product offering
David Battle joins Healix as Non-Executive Director, following a career working with major insurers in the medical expenses market. His expertise spans startups to multinationals, including private sector, venture capital and private equity-backed organisations, providents and PLCs.
Most recently, Battle led Lorica Employee Benefits through a growth phase to a successful trade sale to Aon, before becoming CEO of Aon Employee Benefits for nine years. He retired from Aon at the end of 2023. The same year, Battle was recognised by the Health & Protection Awards for his outstanding contribution to the industry.
Joining Battle is Steven Whitehouse, who is taking up the newly created position of Group Chief Technology Officer. Whitehouse has had a career working across startups, SMEs, and multinational corporations, including IBM and Ford. His experience has seen him plan and implement large-scale technology solutions and infrastructures, including contactless payments for the London Oyster card network for Cubic Transportation Systems.
Completing the set of new hires is Richard Jones, who will be joining Healix as Data and Pricing Director, leaving his role of Head of Pricing at Barclays.
Jones brings with him a wealth of experience which has seen him hold senior pricing positions with AXA and Direct Line Group, before moving to Barclays in 2013. He will focus on working with the senior team to shape and implement the pricing strategy moving forward.
Commenting on the appointments, Ian Talbot, CEO of Healix Health, said: “These three fantastic new additions to the team feels like a real statement of intent for Healix, as we continue to go through an exciting period of growth. They each bring with them fantastic experience and knowledge and will help us shape the future of the business.”
