‘A New Era’ announced as the theme of The BIBA Conference 2025
The BIBA Conference 2025 will be hosted by BBC Broadcaster, Clive Myrie, from 14–15 May at Manchester Central
The BIBA Conference 2025 theme – A New Era – seeks to highlight what brokers want the future of the industry to look like with new energy, ideas, revenue streams and challenges.
Graeme Trudgill, BIBA CEO, said: “Reflecting on what has impacted us since the Millenium is incredibly important when looking forward. We have experienced much change in the last 25 years: seven Prime Ministers, a new regulator (the FCA) and its subsequent rules, Brexit, a cost-of-living crisis and changing risks. We have a new government with a challenging growth strategy that insurance brokers can help deliver. Now is the time to look forward with a fresh perspective on what’s to come, and I know that our members will find insurance solutions for the new risks people and businesses will face as we enter ‘A New Era’ of broking.”
The BIBA Conference offers a range of networking and learning opportunities, with 9,500+ attendees and more than 230 exhibitors including insurers, service providers, brokers and software houses.
Young Broker Day will be on day two of The BIBA Conference and, for the first time, all young insurance professionals looking to excel in their career are invited. Brokers, underwriters and claims handlers can attend free of charge to discuss being part of ‘A New Era’ and hear from speakers with a wealth of knowledge and experience.
Emma Chapman, BIBA Conference Director, concluded: “While we should reflect on what has happened, it is equally as important to explore how ‘A New Era’ of insurance will look and how we at BIBA can continue to support brokers. Our seminar sessions will cover important topics including fair value, claims, regulation and capacity. We are also working hard on developing features that will enhance our attendees’ experience at the conference, and we can’t wait to share more in the New Year.”
At The BIBA Conference 2024 the company called for greater industry cooperation.
