Middle East to welcome its first digital hospital
Mulk Healthcare in the Middle East has announced the launch of the region’s first ‘e-hospital’, a digital healthcare system accessible to people all over the world
Mulk E-hospital comes in the form of a downloadable app, and allows patients to consult doctors, check their vitals and get diagnosis, treatment and medication from a pool of international healthcare experts in each medical field based in the US, the UK, Thailand, Pakistan, Europe and India, in addition to those in the UAE and other GCC countries – all available from the comfort of a patient’s home at the swipe of a screen.
“It brings all hospitals, clinics, doctors, insurers and pharmacies [to] your fingertips through a (Google downloadable) software application (available this August),” explained Dr Nawab Shafi Ul Mulk, President of Mulk Healthcare and one of the two brothers responsible for founding the company. “You could be sitting in Dubai and getting expert medical opinion from a specialist in Bangkok without travelling to Bangkok and get opinion based on the tests and diagnosis in the UAE.”
So far, over 1,700 physicians of various specialities have signed up to offer their expertise, which will be available to anyone wherever they are in the world – whether they have international private medical insurance or plan to pay out-of-pocket.
“We are in the midst of the biggest public health crisis in a century,” commented Nawab Shaji Ul Mulk, Chairman and of Mulk Healthcare and Mulk Holdings. “The healthcare sector needs digital disruption that minimises face-to-face interaction for consultation without compromising on the quality of healthcare. We are of the firm belief that telehealth would grow exponentially and we hope to become significant e-health providers with Mulk E health.”
