The study also shows that 50 per cent of respondents want to make their next trip soon. Federico Siri, President of Travel Ace Brazil, believes that the resumption of travel will happen gradually.

“As already happens in other countries, the resumption of travel will be gradual, starting with national and then international travel. Domestic journeys are expected to start in July because some routes in the country are being reopened and the tourists wants to travel peacefully to relax with family. The priority is to do this in a responsible manner,” he said.

Siri was optimistic about international travel and is set on selling products with flexible dates. “The international tourism market is reacting well to the sale of future trips. We are adapting to this new moment, studying new demands and the direction that the sector has been taking. Our focus has been on working on new products and technologies,” he added.
