M42 and TELUS Health partner on AI-driven employee wellbeing in the UAE
A new Gulf-focused collaboration aims to embed data-driven mental health, prevention, and personalised care tools into the workplace
M42’s Digital Health Solutions has signed a strategic agreement with TELUS Health to introduce artificial intelligence (AI) powered employee wellbeing services in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), with potential expansion across the region. The collaboration was announced at Dubai World Health Expo 2026 and aims to blend global healthcare expertise with advanced digital health infrastructure.
Central to the partnership is the rollout of an enhanced employee assistance programme (EAP) combining wellness support, precision medicine and AI-enabled healthcare tools. The programme includes more than 40 modules covering emotional health, lifestyle management, and overall wellbeing, delivered in local languages to improve accessibility and engagement. The companies say the initiative is designed to boost workplace focus, reduce absenteeism, and help employers track measurable gains in productivity and engagement.
Beyond the EAP, the partners will explore next-generation AI applications to improve care access, drive efficiencies, and advance precision medicine for early, preventative interventions.
“The UAE and the region are experiencing a fundamental shift in how organisations approach employee wellbeing,” said Mohamed El-Demerdash, President of TELUS Health. “Our agreement with M42’s Digital Health Solutions positions us to be part of that transformation.”
M42’s existing digital ecosystem, including Malaffi, Sahatna, and virtual hospital platforms, is expected to provide the scalable infrastructure underpinning the new workforce wellbeing offering.
