Lotte Insurance launches product for tourists visiting South Korea

The product is catered to tourists with its primary feature being a simple subscription service.

In an accident, insured customers can file a claim on their phone or email prior to leaving South Korea.

Lotte Insurance stated that it will increase the convenience of insurance subscriptions and claims in order to offer specialised services to overseas customers.

Any foreign visitor can sign up for the insurance subscription via the Creatrip application which requires information such as travel period, gender, name and passport number.

Documents, like insurance terms and conditions, will be available in English, Japanese, Cantonese, Taiwanese, Thai and Vietnamese with plans to increase the number of languages available.

A spokesman at Lotte Insurance stated: “We will provide customised Korea travel insurance services to foreign tourists, and launch creative insurance services down the road… We also have plans to expand partnerships with other platforms to diversify our footing in the non-life insurance sector.”
