ITIJ March 2020

The March issue of ITIJ, plus our latest Air Ambulance Review

In ITIJ this month, we look in-depth at the unique risks faced by female travellers and how travel security firms and insurers are working to protect such travellers through innovative cover and pre-travel advice. We analyse traveller behaviour in ‘party towns’, assessing the risks associated with the over-consumption of alcohol, what some resorts are doing to attempt to curb such behavior, and how travel insurers and assistance providers approach offering support to those venturing to such areas.

Elsewhere, we have insights on what 2020 holds with regards to the personalisation of travel insurance, we get the latest on the impact of Brexit, and we report on the current spread of Covid-19. Plus, we hear about the potential dangers for travellers of posting the wrong thing on social media and learn about the new ‘signposting’ rules in the UK. All this, as well as our usual round-up of industry appointments, company news and the latest goings-on in the global travel and health insurance industry.
