ITIJ December 2020 issue out now!
ITIC Connected, US elections, insurance distribution evolution
Packed into the last issue of 2020 – a year many of us will be glad to see the back of! – we have our usual news sections, which contain all you need to know about current issues affecting travel insurers, plus a feature article on the ever-evolving nature of travel insurance distribution channels. Are insurers really taking sufficient interest in, and advantage of, customer use of digital when it comes to the purchase of insurance, as well as supporting them afterwards? ITIJ finds out.
Elsewhere in this issue, topics under discussion include underwriters adding Covid-19 cover to policies, the restarting of the cruise industry, outbound travel markets in Canada and the US, and plenty more – not least, an analysis of the outcome of the US election, where we ask what Biden’s policy changes will mean for international insurers and hospitals.
We are also pleased to include a review of all things ITIC Connected in this issue. The virtual conference may be the first one ITIC has held digitally, but it was clear from the huge interest and participation we saw from attendees during the event that it will not be the last! A fantastic line-up of speakers shared insights and analysis about everything from coronavirus coverage and assistance, to cruises, engaging with customers to improve loyalty, complex assistance cases and more. Plus, with an additional focus on wellness from various sponsored speakers, attendees were able to gain holistically from the event as well.
