IMG launches new international private medical insurance (IPMI) plan for expats
The plan will provide cover to individuals, families, and groups living or working outside of their home country, typically for one year or longer
IMG has launched Global Prima Medical Insurance, a new international private medical insurance (IPMI) offering through their ALC Health brand.
Expatriates and global citizens may face several challenges when trying to find health insurance, and IMG says their new GPMI plan addresses issues such as:
- Finding medical providers – expats with a GPMI plan can either choose from IMG's network of medical facilities or choose their own healthcare provider wherever they are in the world
- High healthcare costs – IMG is committed to controlling costs while providing expats with the cover they need
- Having plan options for specific needs – expats with a GPMI plan can choose the plan that best fits their health needs, with cover options for chronic conditions, cancer, preventative tests, and more.
“We are thrilled to introduce Global Prima Medical Insurance to the market for global citizens,” said Kevin Melton, IMG’s Global Head of IPMI. “This product was developed through great collaboration and research with IMG’s partners to offer customers the worldwide medical cover they need, backed by the world-class services they expect.”
“At IMG, we realise that being a global citizen is becoming increasingly common, and we understand how critical it is for expatriates to have proper health care,” said Amanda Winkle, IMG’s Chief Operating Officer. “Our new Global Prima Medical Insurance plans feature IMG's Safety Solutions designed to proactively address the specific needs of globally mobile citizens.”
The announcement came shortly after IMG published its Travel Outlook Survey earlier this week.
