IMG Launches iTravelInsured Essential, an Economical Travel Insurance Product

The plan, IMG’s lowest-priced travel protection product, provides limited travel protection with coverage for trip cancellation and interruption, travel delay, and accidental death and dismemberment. The plan also provides access to IMG's 24/7 emergency non-insurance travel assistance service, which offers support for issues such as lost luggage, emergency translations, emergency cash transfers.

The benefits of the iTravelInsured Essential plan will also be offered as an optional add-on to IMG’s Patriot Travel series of medical insurance products.

According to IMG’s Chief Commercial Officer, Amanda Winkle, the plan is intended to respond to demand from ‘travellers who want coverage for a select few scenarios’.

“We are thrilled to introduce our new iTravelInsured Essential plan to travellers that have been long awaiting an economical travel insurance option in the market,” said Grant Hayes, IMG Director of International Sales for Travel.

IMG previously unveiled its new PTOgo travel medical insurance employee benefit product in January 2022.
