Igloo announces embedded insurance partnership with Telkomsel
The deal will see the insurtech offer embedded insurance – including for travel – to customers of the Indonesian telecom firm
Insurtech Igloo has announced a partnership with Indonesian telecommunications provider Telkomsel, to offer embedded insurance to its customers.
The collaboration expands Igloo’s presence in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, and will see a range of insurance products, including travel, cybersecurity, gadget, and phone coverage.
These products are purchasable via the MyTelkomsel app, and have premiums starting from between 200 and 3,000 rupiahs ($0.01–$0.18).
Igloo stated that the partnership “underscores the growing role of embedded insurance in APAC’s mobile-first markets”.
“Embedding insurance protection on the MyTelkomsel app with Igloo reflects our commitment to enhancing the digital lifestyle of Indonesians by offering convenient, secure, and relevant protection that goes beyond connectivity,” said Alfian Manullang, Vice President of Data Solutions and Digital Financial Services at Telkomsel. “With more Indonesians spending time and money online, this strategic and innovative partnership reinforces our commitment to not just connect but also protect our users by empowering them with simple, secure, and accessible digital insurance solutions.”
Travel insurance platform Faye recently partnered with embedded insurance specialist Fletch Technologies.
