HelloSafe opens travel insurance marketplace to travel businesses

HelloSafe has opened its Atlas travel insurance marketplace to travel agencies, tour operators, booking platforms, and other travel businesses.

The platform gives partners access to policies from international insurers and supports sales in 26 languages and 33 currencies. It is available to travellers of any nationality across more than 190 destinations.

Travel businesses can distribute insurance through several channels, including tracked links, promotional codes, an embedded website module, and an API. Agencies can also purchase insurance on behalf of customers.

The platform includes Coach Atlas, a tool designed to identify the insurance benefits already provided through a traveller’s bank card. It uses policy terms to show limits, excesses and exclusions before identifying potential gaps in cover and suggesting additional insurance.

Its database currently includes 392 cards issued by 103 banks across six countries.

HelloSafe has also developed an MCP server allowing artificial intelligence assistants to access the marketplace.

Connected AI tools can generate travel insurance prices using information including a traveller's country of residence, destination and age, as well as retrieve information about bank card coverage.

HelloSafe said more than 300 travel professionals already use its services. The company, which operates as an insurance broker, said it has provided cover to more than two million travellers since it was founded in 2019.

In other news, Amazon Pay India said it is considering adding travel insurance to its expanding range of insurance products, as the payments platform moves deeper into financial services.
