Güven Hospital awarded Global Healthcare Accreditation
The accreditation affirms the hospital’s ability to deliver high-quality care to international patients
Güven Hospital, in the Turkish capital, Ankara, has received Global Healthcare Accreditation (GHA) for medical travel services.
It follows an in-depth review of Güven Hospital’s policies, procedures, and patient care protocols, with a focus on the journey and safety of international patients.
According to a statement by GHA, Güven Hospital is already a major destination for medical tourists, serving over 17,000 international patients each year.
“We are honoured to achieve GHA Accreditation,” said Banu Küçükel, President of Güven Health Group. “The expertise and guidance provided by the GHA team have helped us refine our strategies, optimise operations, and implement best practices that elevate the patient journey from start to finish.”
Renée-Marie Stephano, CEO of GHA, added that the accreditation “showcases their unwavering focus on meeting the unique needs of international patients while strengthening Turkey’s reputation as a leading destination for health tourism”.
Turkey is becoming a popular holiday destination for older travellers, according to a report from Just Travel Cover released in late 2024.
