FWD Hong Kong teams up with New Frontier Group
FWD has announced a strategic partnership with New Frontier Group to support cross-border medical services
A new partnership between FWD Hong Kong and New Frontier Group will support the provision of medical services to customers travelling in the Greater Bay Area – which comprises the Chinese cities of Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Huizhou, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, Zhaoqing, as well as the two special administrative regions of Hong Kong and Macao.
The partnership will see Guangzhou United Family Hospital and Shenzhen New Frontier United Family Hospital incorporated into FWD’s network.
It will facilitate a “cashless facility for hospitalisation, priority appointment with renowned specialists, and cross-border cancer case coordination services”.
The partnership was motivated by the rapid development of the Greater Bay Area, as well as the growing demand for medical services across it.
“FWD is delighted to establish this strategic partnership with New Frontier Group,” said Professor Frederick Ma, Chairman of the Board at FWD Group. “The Greater Bay Area serves as a key growth driver for China’s economic development, and the increasing flow of cross-border talent has led to a growing demand for cross-border medical services.”
Antony Leung, Co-Founder and Chairman of New Frontier Group, added: “New Frontier Group is dedicated to creating value for customers through high-quality medical resources. This partnership combines FWD’s expertise in insurance with New Frontier’s healthcare network, further enhancing and optimising the integration of medical resources in the region.”
FWD Singapore announced a partnership with Tune Protect Re last year.
