FlightHub introduces Cancel for Any Reason offering for travellers in Canada and the US
New product allows travellers to cancel their trips with ease, for greater confidence and convenience
FlightHub travel agency has announced the launch of a new Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR) offering, in partnership with global Insurtech, Cover Genius. According to FlightHub, the new CFAR offering, powered by Cover Genius’ global distribution platform XCover, will enable customers to receive refunds if their plans change, and they need to cancel their flight for any reason.
FlightHub customers can now add CFAR to their booking at checkout. This addition allows customers in Canada and the US to cancel their trip for any reason up to 48 hours before departure and receive up to 100% of the booking cost back with no documentation or proof required. Additionally, if travellers are unsure about purchasing the CFAR offering when booking their tickets, they can purchase the CFAR option up to 24 hours after booking through FlightHub’s website. With XCover, FlightHub customers can submit a claim within minutes from anywhere in the world. Refunds are quickly paid out in more than 90 currencies and XCover also offers 24/7 claims submissions in over 40 languages.
Christina Allen, Vice President of Partnerships at FlightHub, said: “Booking a vacation without the option to cancel can be risky, but many refundable fares are out of the budget for North Americans. With our new CFAR offering, travellers can book vacations with even more confidence knowing that their travel investment is safeguarded.”
Kyle Keogh, Chief Business Officer, Americas at Cover Genius, commented: “We’re excited to partner with FlightHub to introduce a CFAR option so customers can easily and quickly get up to 100% of flight costs back if they need to cancel, for any reason.”
“Our research shows the global travel sector is seeing higher demand and satisfaction with CFAR. 60% of travellers are highly likely to book airfare when given the option to purchase CFAR, that number goes down to 48% when the offered protection requires them to provide documentation (such as a doctor’s note or evidence of transport interruption) when submitting a refund request. By providing our merchant partners with innovative travel offerings like CFAR, they can better meet the evolving needs of today’s travellers who desire a quick resolution when something goes wrong,” he concluded.
