Faye launches telemedicine product with Air Doctor
Faye can now connect policyholders to a network of 20,000 doctors and services
Travel insurer Faye has announced the launch of telemedicine in partnership with Air Doctor.
The telemedicine offering compliments its out-patient and in-patient visits, covered under emergency medical coverage.
It will be available to all those travelling with Faye internationally to 75 countries around the world, giving them access to near-instant voice and video consultations with doctors.
Faye can connect its policyholders to a network of 20,000 doctors and services for consultations in 21 languages, with more to be added.
The process:
- Chat with the Faye support team in the app and let them know what’s happened
- Choose to video chat with a doctor – if you’re in a covered country
- Browse and select a doctor by specialty, location and language
- Faye automatically covers their travellers’ appointments at no additional cost.
If travellers aren’t interested in the telemedicine option though, the company’s support team can find them local emergency medical facilities and clinics.
Elad Schaffer, Co-Founder and CEO, Faye Travel Insurance, said: “Considering Faye’s clear goal is to make travel protection and assistance as seamless as possible, launching telemedicine was a natural next step for us.
“When you’re away from home, seeking medical attention can be stressful and for some, nightmarish. Now, via the Faye app, Faye travellers have access to medical professionals at their fingertips, alleviating a massive pain point that can occur on their journey, and providing top-notch help when they need it most.”
