Europ Assistance expands into New Zealand market
The move is the result of a strategic partnership with the global travel agency Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG)
Through its successful partnership launch with global travel agency FCTG, Europ Assistance will offer travel insurance and overseas emergency assistance services in Australia and New Zealand, through FCTG’s network of over 45 retail locations and other channels.
The move marks the start of Europ Assistance’s presence in the Australia and New Zealand markets, with offices now located in Sydney, Brisbane and Auckland.
Europ Assistance CEO Anna Gladman said the collaboration is part of the company’s broader strategy to cement its role in the travel sector.
“We are thrilled to become Flight Centre Travel Group’s preferred travel insurance provider and be trusted with caring for their customers through an integrated travel offer that includes insurance,” she commented.
The Head of Strategic Partnerships at Europ Assistance, Matt Endycott, added: “Leveraging Europ Assistance’s experience and capability to offer travel insurance solutions for modern travellers, this strategic partnership positions us at the forefront of the travel insurance industry.”
The rollout of the partnership continues into 2025 with Canada, the US and the UK the next countries to follow.
A Southern Cross study recently revealed how the cost of living in New Zealand has impacted people’s health and wellbeing.
