Cover-More CEO moves across to Zurich
CEO Hanno Mijer moves across to a leadership role with the travel insurance and assistance provider’s parent, Zurich Group, and Cover-More elects an interim CEO
Hanno will join the Commercial Insurance business as Head, Commercial Insurance Services and report to James Shea, CEO Commercial Insurance for Zurich, while Cover-More Group’s COO, Cara Morton, will lead the business as interim CEO. She will help navigate Cover-More through the ongoing impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and prepare strategically for the resumption of global travel in the future.
Zurich Group acquired Cover-More Group in 2017, and Jack Howell, Zurich APAC CEO, thanked Hanno for his valuable contribution and strong leadership of the Cover-More Group since 2018.
Cara was appointed as Cover-More Group COO in October 2018. She has an extensive track record in strategic business transformation with more than 25 years’ experience in consulting and senior management roles, having worked for Fortune 500 and ASX 100 corporations across banking, insurance, government, consumer goods and mining industries.
