CEO

Travel insurance and assistance provider Cover-More Group today announced the official appointment of Cara Morton as global CEO

Morton will be overseeing extensive businesses in 16 countries across the UK, Europe, US, Latin America and Asia Pacific. A respected expert in business transformation and strategy, Morton was appointed to lead Cover-More Group as interim global CEO in June this year.

Zurich Regional CEO of Asia Pacific, Jack Howell, was pleased to make Morton’s appointment official on 11 November 2020 and said the company was in good hands thanks to Morton’s extensive experience in business transformation and strategy.

Demonstrating bold and courageous leadership

“Since taking on the role of interim CEO of Cover-More, Cara has quickly demonstrated bold and courageous leadership, steering and navigating the business in exceptionally challenging times,” Howell said. “Cara has impressed us all with her energy, focus and resilience by making the tough decisions that were necessary to make Cover-More a stronger and more sustainable business.

“In particular, her focus on customer-centred design and digital transformation will see continued innovation of Cover-More’s future. Today, under Cara’s leadership, Cover-More is stronger and better prepared for when travel returns over the next few years.”

A path towards travelling again

Morton said that over the past six months she had been working closely with all departments of Cover-More to help map out a clear path forward for the company and for its valued clients as they start travelling again. “I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity and am working with our team and key stakeholders in getting the world moving again – safely and risk-free,” Morton added.

As part of the Zurich Insurance Group, Cover-More protects more than 15 million business and leisure travellers worldwide every year. Cover-More also delivers emergency medical assistance and health support through its 24/7 alarm centres.
