Cover-More and Zurich Japan partner up with airline Peach Aviation
The partnership will give the airline’s customers quick and easy access to travel insurance
Travel insurance and assistance provider Cover-More and Zurich Insurance Company Ltd Japan (Zurich Japan P&C) have started a partnership with Japanese carrier Peach Aviation. Peach Aviation currently services seven cities in Japan including Tokyo, Osaka and Sapporo.
Judith Crompton, CEO for Cover-More Asia Pacific said: “Cover-More and Zurich already work closely together in the Asia Pacific with two other major airlines in Australia and New Zealand, and we are excited to add Peach Aviation to this growing list of forward-thinking airlines.
“Together, we want to ensure Peach Aviation’s customers can travel safely and confidently. This represents a major outcome for our active collaboration with Zurich across Asia Pacific and highlights the complementary skills, capabilities and commercial value that Cover-More and Zurich offer business partners in the region and globally.
“We look forward to a strong and productive working relationship with Peach Aviation as the world begins to travel again during and after the pandemic.”
Ensuring peace of mind for passengers
Peach Aviation began operating in Japan in 2012 and, before Covid-19, serviced 21 domestic routes and 18 international routes with 33 aircraft. They were carrying 20,000 passengers every day, with the aim of becoming Asia’s leading low-cost-carrier.
Masachika Nishiura, CEO and Representative for Zurich Japan P&C, commented: “We are very pleased that, with Cover-More Asia Pacific, we can partner with Peach Aviation and provide their customers with the very best in insurance protection.”
Kazuhiro Todoroki, Chief Business Strategy Officer for Peach Aviation, added: “We look forward to working with Cover-More and Zurich, the established brand with great credentials helping ensure our passengers have peace of mind.”
Meanwhile, Cover-More’s domestic travel insurance covers cancellation and Covid-19. With domestic travel being number one for New Zealanders and with summer holidays on the horizon, travel insurance still plays a key role in keeping travellers safe.
