Cover Genius and Airpaz announce new partnership for APAC travellers
The partnership is expected to benefit travellers in Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines
The global tourism industry continues its rebound in 2024, international arrivals are up 16% compared with 2023 according to Cover Genius, and the Asia-Pacific region has dominated that growth at +33%. With the busy travel season ahead, airports and airlines might anticipate delays, cancellations and lost bags.
With Cover Genius, customers of the travel booking app Airpaz will have access to an enhanced booking experience with comprehensive travel insurance directly in the online purchase path. The coverage helps protect against unexpected trip disruptions, such as emergency medical costs, flight delays, cancellations due to illness or jury duty, and more.
William Snell, Vice President of Strategic Partnerships – APAC at Cover Genius, said: “Our technology was swiftly integrated with Airpaz’s online platform and can offer their three million-plus customers a convenient, digital experience for claims on unexpected hiccups during their travel. For millions of passengers travelling during this busy season in the region, we’re thrilled to be able to provide some peace of mind for Airpaz customers and their families.”
In the summer, Priceline and Cover Genius announced a North American partnership.
