Cleveland Clinic to open innovative new facility in London
Non-profit, multi-speciality academic medical centre Cleveland Clinic is to open a new facility in London, UK, which will prioritise exceptional quality care alongside reduced environmental impact
The new Cleveland Clinic London – which will offer speciality services focusing on general surgery, cardiology, orthopaedics and neurology – will have 185 inpatient beds; eight operating rooms; a full imaging suite; endoscopy and catheterisation labs; day case rooms for surgery; and a full neurological suite with rehabilitation.
In addition, the Clinic will be designed so that its environmental impact in minimal, producing its own heat and power and therefore significantly minimising carbon emissions from air and water heating. What’s more, it will be designed to create an environment that reflects the needs of patients and the future of healthcare in the UK.
The facility, which will be Cleveland Clinic’s first in Europe, is expected to begin seeing patients in November 2020 for outpatient appointments and diagnostics, and general practice appointments.
