Caravan and Motorhome Club refreshes travel insurance product
The Club has reworked its Red Pennant Travel Insurance product, in partnership with PJ Hayman
The UK’s Caravan and Motorhome Club has announced the “refresh” of its Red Pennant Travel Insurance product, which provides tailored coverage for UK and European touring holidays to both members and non-members.
The reworked Red Pennant product, developed in partnership with travel insurance firm PJ Hayman, offers a range of coverage, including automatic cover for a number of pre-existing medical conditions.
Alongside this, the policy also offers trip cancellation for expenses of up to £2,500, as well as £2,500 for trips that have to be cut short, and up to £5 million for emergency medical expenses.
Policyholders also have access to a 24-hour GP service, and vehicle repatriation services in the event of a medical emergency.
Optional coverage includes benefits for longer trips, including worldwide travel, adventure activities, higher-cost holidays, and coverage for travellers aged 80 and older.
“We know how important it is for our members to have confidence in their travel arrangements, particularly when touring in the UK or overseas,” said Julie Constable, Head of Insurance and Financial Services at the Caravan and Motorhome Club. “Our new Red Pennant Travel Insurance makes it easy for members to choose cover that reflects how they travel and provides the reassurance they value when exploring new destinations.”
International Medical Group (IMG) recently announced its acquisition of World Nomads from its previous parent company, Australian firm nib.
