Brazil: mobile phone company to offer travel insurance
Brazil-based Telefónica Vivo has become the first mobile phone operator in the country to provide travel insurance. In partnership with Ace Seguradora, Vivo now offers the product Vivo Seguro Viage, to give its customers protection while travelling. The policy includes coverage for medical, hospital, dental, accident or illness expenses, medical evacuation and baggage location, plus cancellation or interruption of the trip, and will be offered around the world, with the exception of countries subject to economic sanctions by the UN or the Brazilian government.
