Blue Diamond Resorts to cover guests’ Covid-19 health insurance
The Caribbean chain of hotels has partnered with Mexico-based assistance provider MAS Servicios to provide guests with free medical insurance, starting 1 September
Blue Diamond Resorts, which owns 46 properties across ten countries in the Caribbean, is now automatically giving guests who book directly through its websites or reservation team extended health insurance, which will cover expenses incurred from any accidents or illnesses, including Covid-19-related medical needs, while on vacation.
Provided by MAS Servicios, Blue Diamond Resorts’ All-In Medical Insurance includes: medical assistance due to accident or illness (including Covid-19) coverage up to US$55,000; emergency medical transfer, funeral or repatriation coverage up to $50,000; coverage of quarantine costs up to $100 per night for 14 nights, and for three travel companions, should a guest need to remain at the hotel due to illness; airfare cover for early return due to death of a relative or due to home-related accidents and emergencies; and medication for hospitalisation, home doctor, 24-hour telephone medical assistance, psychological assistance, 24-hour legal assistance and checked luggage location.
