Swiss insurer Baloise will incorporate Blink Parametric’s travel insurance solutions into its policies

The partnership will see Blink Parametric’s Flight Disruption and Delayed Luggage solutions incorporated into Baloise’s single-trip travel insurance policies.

The Flight Disruption solution will require Baloise policyholders to register their flight details on the Baloise portal. From there, it then monitors the flight in real time, and will automatically notify the traveller if an eligible delay occurs.

In the event of a delay, the traveller will be offered either airport lounge access or an immediate payout. If the delay period worsens, the traveller will receive a further payout automatically.

The Delayed Airline Luggage solution activates if the traveller’s luggage cannot be located upon arrival at the destination airport – issuing a real-time payout. If the luggage is still not located after 48 hours, a further payment is issued.

“Blink Parametric is an excellent value-add partner for us, allowing us to design tailor-made, real-time digital travel assistance products that keep us close to our travelling customers wherever they are in the world,” said Philipp Marty, Head of New Business and Partnerships at Baloise.

Blink Parametric also recently signed a new three-year deal with long-time partner Blue Cross of Canada.
