AXA scales AI platform to accelerate AI adoption across the Group

AXA is partnering with Publicis Sapient to accelerate the rollout of its Global AI Hub, a standardised platform designed to help the insurer deploy artificial intelligence (AI) agents safely, securely, and at scale.

The collaboration aims to reduce the time and cost of bringing AI solutions into production by providing AXA entities with shared infrastructure, governance, and engineering capabilities. This allows local businesses to focus on applications that deliver customer and operational value rather than building common AI foundations independently.

The first version of the Global AI Hub, delivered in July, is already being used across five AXA entities in Germany, France, Switzerland, and the UK, as well as its P&C and specialty risk division, AXA XL. Its capabilities include governance, security, compliance, cost management, and human oversight, alongside the ability to deploy different AI models across business use cases.

Current applications include motor claims automation, customer email processing, and enterprise knowledge management, demonstrating potential for AI to streamline high-volume insurance processes.

For travel insurers and their partners, the development highlights the growing role of enterprise AI in automating operational workflows while maintaining controls appropriate to a highly regulated industry.

The partnership will further develop the Hub as AXA seeks to industrialise AI across its global operations, while maintaining human oversight for business-critical decisions.
