AXA partners with Daman to offer IPMI in UAE
Through Daman’s local infrastructure, the partnership will grant UAE customers access to AXA’s international services
AXA - Global Healthcare has entered a partnership with United Arab Emirates health insurance provider Daman to offer international private medical insurance (IPMI).
Launching this month, the new global healthcare plan is a locally licensed and compliant product administered by Daman (part of PureHealth) and internationally supported by AXA.
What it offers
- Upgrade options across maternity, dental, and optical health, as well as access to HRT, menopause, and infertility benefits
- Higher overall limits and outpatient benefit limits
- Access to dietician consultations
- A round-the-clock in-country claims team
- AXA’s Virtual Care services
- Daman’s domestic network
- AXA’s Select network.
The partnership is spearheaded by AXA - Global Healthcare’s Managing Director, Middle East and Africa, Karim Idilby, whose role it is to further the company’s growth in the Middle East and Africa. Speaking on the partnership, he commented: “As one of the world’s largest IPMI markets, establishing a leadership position in the UAE has been a priority. Daman, with its strong distribution reach, domestic network, and digital platform, is the perfect partner with whom we will achieve our shared vision for growth in IPMI in the UAE.”
Daman’s Chief Executive Officer, Khaled Ateeq Aldhaheri, added: “We are delighted to announce our partnership with AXA, marking a significant step to expand our global health insurance offering.”
IPMI provider NextGen i.i. recently signed a strategic reinsurance agreement with AXA Health. The partnership will see AXA support the launch of NextGen’s IPMI products in Latin America and the Caribbean.
