Andalucia to offer travel assistance policy to tourists

The Spanish region wants to strengthen the safety and peace of mind of tourists visiting the region and create an extra incentive to choose this destination. Some of the most important features of Andalucia's international travel insurance include:

• Free insurance with Covid-19 coverage provided that the tourist stays at one of the official accommodation facilities of the Region of Andalucia.
• Medical, pharmaceutical and hospitalisation expenses up to a maximum of €4,000.
• Medical expenses for transport and repatriation.
• Expenses for extending the stay in the hotel of the insured and accompanying persons (for a maximum of 15 days) up to a maximum of €5,000.

In January, the region was one of nine regions in Spain hit by Storm Filomena and was classified as a disaster zone by the Spanish government.
