Allianz partners with Porter Airlines to offer travel insurance to passengers
The insurance plans will be purchasable with tickets or bundled with Porter package holidays
Allianz Global Assistance has partnered with Canadian regional airline Porter Airlines to offer a range of insurance products and options to Porter customers.
The partnership, announced on 2 December, will enable Allianz to offer travel insurance plans to Porter customers via the airline’s website.
The new plans will be purchasable alongside or after booking flight tickets and will also be included as part of Porter Escape package holidays.
Three categories of product will be available for purchase by Porter customers under the new arrangement:
- Trip cancellation insurance
- Emergency travel medical insurance
- All-inclusive insurance.
The insurance plans will give Porter customers access to Allianz emergency assistance, claims expertise and inquiry support through their pre-trip planning.
"We're giving Porter customers more insurance options, so they can feel comfortable and prepared for their unique travel needs," said Kevin Jackson, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer for Porter Airlines. "Porter and Allianz are prepared to provide quality customer support for those looking to add these policies to their purchases."
