Each year we have the honour of recognising the extraordinary efforts of companies operating in the travel and health insurance sector that have shown resilience, innovation and creativity throughout the last 12 months at the ITIJ Awards.
Ian Cameron, Editor in Chief of ITIJ, commented: “There is no escaping that this year has been tough. It is vital, however, that we continue to recognise the amazing resilience of the travel and health insurance sector, and all the companies that strive every day to assist travellers in need. Without your efforts, people would be at a loss in their moments of greatest need. Travel insurance provides a vital service, and we should always remember that at its heart, we serve people who need help – and that’s why drives the industry forward. We are looking forward to celebrating the continued dedication shown by our industry at the ITIJ Awards ceremony, which concludes our return to face-to-face networking at ITIC Global in Madrid.”
Mandy Langfield, Editor of ITIJ, added: “Ongoing product innovation, adoption of new technology, and a continuing desire to do the best for customers is what matters in this valuable insurance sector. The ITIJ Awards showcase the brightest and best of our industry, and we are proud to be the magazine that recognises the incredibly services you offer and part you play in keeping the world of travel turning.”
The ITIJ Awards winners will be revealed in Madrid on Thursday 4 November, with a celebration to conclude the 29th annual ITIC Global conference. In light of ongoing restrictions due to Covid-19, the usual black-tie gala dinner affair is taking a different format for 2021, but we are nonetheless celebrating achievement and excellence in the industry with a fantastic lunch, complete with entertainment, and champagne to make sure the event goes with a bang!
The ITIJ Awards cover all the different sectors of the travel and health insurance industry – insurance providers, affinity partners, air ambulance companies, assistance firms, and all the companies that provide services to those companies in turn. We also have two new awards for this year – Travel Insurance Product Innovation of the Year – which recognises where companies have shown particular expertise and pushed the industry forward by introducing a new product or technology. And Outstanding Contribution of the Year, which rewards companies that have truly stood out from the crowd and made a difference to the travel insurance sector.
