During the evacuation of a symptomatic patient, bureaucratic obstacles were encountered due to changing airspace restrictions and border health protocols. In the second mission, three Turkish nationals from the same vessel were repatriated on a single flight aboard one of Redstar Aviation’s Challenger 605 aircraft. The ability to configure the Challenger 605 with up to three stretchers proved advantageous in this case. PPE and enhanced infection control protocols were implemented to ensure optimal disease containment.

The logistics of repatriation were crucial where full coordination with multiple government entities was needed as a result of the potential risks of the hantavirus cases.
