The new hangar is capable of hosting Redstar Aviation’s entire fleet of nine fixed-wing aircraft dedicated exclusively to air ambulance missions: five Bombardier Learjet 45XRs and four Challenger 605s. In addition, it can accommodate aircraft from customers, enabling the provision of aircraft management and maintenance services.

With a larger and strategically located medical storage area, the facility enables more efficient organisation of medical equipment and supplies, ensuring faster and more effective access for crews to aircraft during missions.

A state-of-the-art facility

The complex covers 8,765m², comprising a six-story technical office building and a 3,400m² steel-structured hangar.

Designed for efficiency, safety, and sustainability, it provides an advanced working environment for both administrative and flight operations.

The office building offers 5,375m² of enclosed space with high-quality insulation for thermal and acoustic performance. Meeting rooms, training spaces, lounges, and dining facilities support collaboration and crew comfort. Security is ensured through access control systems, continuous surveillance, and international-standard fire safety measures.

The hangar, measuring 75x45 metres with a height of 22 metres, includes an automatic door, integrated maintenance pits, fall-protection systems, and a 6,300m² apron area for efficient and secure aircraft servicing.

Advanced infrastructure and technology

The headquarters incorporates a resilient infrastructure to support seamless operations. A dedicated server room, backup power systems, and extensive wireless connectivity ensure uninterrupted communication and efficiency, meeting the demands of global air ambulance missions while safeguarding operational continuity.

Commitment to sustainability

Environmental responsibility is a core principle at Redstar Aviation. Heating is provided by a dual-fuel hybrid system, while cooling is achieved through an efficient VRF air-conditioning network.

Heat recovery units, LED lighting, automated energy controls, and a 164-tonne rainwater recovery capacity reduce environmental impact. Electricpowered towing systems further enhance sustainable operations.
